Possibility
The Energy of Possibility: The Story of the Rainbow and the Pot of Gold
Rainbows are the angels’ way of having fun and creating art for us to enjoy—brilliant, dancing rays of light in the sky.
When you see a rainbow, do you ever think of the story of the pot of gold at the end of it?
Close your eyes for a moment and try to remember what it was like to see a rainbow for the first time. What do you remember about that experience? Even today, as an adult, what emotions arise when a rainbow appears? Does it fill you with excitement, joy, spark curiosity, or bring back fond childhood memories? No matter how many times you see a rainbow, doesn’t it feel special every single time?
As a child, were you ever told that if you followed the rainbow, you’d find a pot of gold at the end? Perhaps once or twice, you even set out to try and find that pot of gold. In those moments, did you feel like you were very close, like it was just around the next corner? And for a split second, did you feel it was possible?
What about today? Do you ever find yourself tracing the arc of the rainbow, even for a moment, to see if you can spot where it begins and ends?
Reflect on those moments of pure imagination and limitless possibility.
What if the joy and wonder of trying to find the gold is actually the gold? What if the magic is created in those simple moments of collaboration between you and the divine, through pure possibility?
Next time you see a rainbow, sit back, look up, and ask yourself: What do I believe is possible today?
